David Pressman is a practicing intellectual property attorney in San Francisco. He is also the author of the best-selling do-it-yourself guidebook, Patent It Yourself, which has sold over 300,000 copies. He is also the co-author of The Inventor’s Notebook, The Patent Drawing Book, Patents For Beginners, and Patent Pending In 24 Hours.
Pressman, formerly an electronic engineer, has over 40 years’ experience in the patent profession, as a patent examiner, a corporate and independent intellectual property attorney, a columnist for EDN Magazine, and a patent law instructor at San Francisco State University. A former member of Mensa, he has a B.S. in Electronic Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University and a J.D. from The George Washington University where he was on the Law Review.
